Congratulations to John French on National Show Hunter Hall of Fame Induction!

The votes have been tabulated! The inductees for 2020 are: John French, Judy Kelley, Scott Stewart, Lu Thomas and Tom Wright. The horses are Estrella and Henry The Hawk. Alice Stuart was elected by the historical committee. The Horse Show Of The Year is Devon. The Derby Of The Year is Deeridge. Congratulations to all of the inductees and to Devon and Deeridge for their annual awards! The Induction Ceremony will be held next year on June 1st at the Merion Cricket Club during the Devon Horse Show.

“I just want to say how truly honored I am to be an inductee into the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame,” said French. “Congratulations to my fellow inductees and thanks to everyone that voted. I also want to thank the people who gave me such incredible opportunities and helped me in my career so far. These people are the owners, trainers, grooms braiders, vets, shoers, and assistants. I would also like to thank the horses that have been such an important part of my career. These horses are not just the winners but the ones as well that were not winners that taught me so much. And most importantly I would like to thank my parents for giving me everything they could and making me figure out the rest for myself. I am especially thankful they are able to hear this news. And last but not least I am so thankful I have over a year to get a speech ready as you all know I am a man of few words!”
